Parley’s Nature Preserve (Tanner Park)
2600 East Heritage Way (2700 S)
Parley’s Nature Preserve is currently an official off-leash area. There has been a great deal of debate on whether to leave Parley’s Nature Preserve as an off leash dog area, or not let dogs in the park at all. Fortunately we are still able to take our dogs to this wonderful place and let them run.
Walking through the path takes you about one and a half miles round trip if you stick to the main path. There are a few places you can go off the main path, but the land area the dogs are allowed to run off leash was reduced. However, it is still one of the best off leash parks in Northern Utah.
There are many meetings and discussions on going about this park and other off leash dog parks. Please see the Millcreek Fidos threads for more information.
