Millcreek Canyon is only an off leash area on Odd-Numbered days during the month. Please keep your dogs on leash on even numbered days!

Millcreek canyon is always under debate. Please keep you dogs leashed in any developed areas, including parking lots and picnic areas. Be on your best behavior, thanks!

Water Available? Yes - There are many streams and water areas.

Shade Available? Yes - There are shady paths and sunny paths, your choice!

Fenced? No - There is no fencing in Millcreek Canyon Accessible?

Easily Accessible. There is parking along the main road and in picnic areas. Please be aware some picnic areas do not allow parking for those who are hiking. Read the signs.

Millcreek Canyon is the only Canyon in the Salt Lake Area that allows dogs. Both Big Cottonwood and Little Cottonwood Canyons are Water Shed areas and do not allow dogs, either on leash or off!
